Trail Strategy Meetings
The CCTA holds periodic trail strategy meetings with the public and key stakeholders to plan for the eventual construction of trail to close existing gaps in the trailway.
In October of 2025, the CCTA and Calhoun County convened a meeting to focus on developing trail west of Marshall, including the BlueOval / MAJOR Campus. This was an opportunity for trail stakeholders to network with other advocates for the trail, hear from community partners about the value of a strong trail system in Calhoun County, and brainstorm solutions for portions of the trail that need assistance. Over 40 trail stakeholders attended the meeting. They included the Calhoun County Road Department and GIS staff, CCTA Board members, engineers for Calhoun County and local municipalities, elected and appointed officials from local units of government, trail users, and economic development officials.
